Trail of a Landscape

2009

‘Trail of a Landscape’, explores some of Paul Virilio’s insights into the new ways of appreciating the landscape whereby, because of the invention of new means of transport- from the carriages pulled   by   horses,   to ultra-speed   trains-  the journey  has   been  shortened   leading  to  a  loss  of  appreciation  for  the vastness  of natural space, a vastness which provided protected  intervals  of  time,  periods  of  delay  and  relief  between  events and action. The landscape on the window is no longer appreciated because of the high speed.
